Famous 5 playlist: Krissy Vanderwoude special & audio comments
One day, browsing for new music, I happened to come across Krissy Vanderwoude's beautiful voice on 3 different musical projects. A few days earlier, the information was also shared on FB groups that Krissy would be also involved with the German band Seasurfer.
From these many coincidences, in such a short time, came the idea to this playlist: 5 songs from 5 of Krissy's musical projects. Ideally, some stories on each of the selected pieces would make it more interesting.
Krissy was not only very enthusiastic when introduced the idea, but also very proactive. She kindly proposed to do an audio comment for each of the songs in the playlist.
So readers, enjoy Krissy's beautiful musical work and her take on some of the musical adventures she had with other artists.
Whimsical: Beautiful Virtue
Singing in this band for almost 2 decades with her friend Neil Burkdoll, Whimsical is Krissy's main musical home. This song is a good example of their music, tinged with Dream Pop and many other things.
Churchill Garden: all beauty must die
When Krissy hear Churchill Garden for the first time, she got very emotional and listened to their song on repeat for more than an hour. Sometime later, she started collaborating with Andy Jossi in what she calls her other musical home.
Xeresa: Landslide
This Fleetwoodmac song is one of Krissy's all time favorite. When Nico contacted her for this cover version, she was thrilled. The result is here for you to listen.
Fir Cone Children: No Gravity Girls
The contact that happened through Alexander form BlackJack Illuminist records. This a fast and fuzzy song that always make Krissy smile.
